| The College of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering (CMAE) has several academic openings in the fields of Auotmobile Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Systems and Electronic Engineering, Engine Design, Advanced Manufacturing, Advance Computation, CAE and Mechanical System Design, Advance Materials and Industry Engineering. Appointees are expected to establish programs both in teaching and research in the related areas mentioned above.
Qualification
Applicants should:
(a) possess a doctoral degree in a relevant discipline;
(b) have a strong record or an excellent potential in establishing and conducting high impact research projects;
(c) be able to demonstrate evidence of effective classroom teaching skills; and have excellent communication skills;
(d) oversea applicants should work at Hunan University for at least 9 months a year. Part-time appointment of 3 months a year is also available at the level of Chair Professor.
Duties
The appointees will be required to:
(a) teach at undergraduate and graduate levels in one or more of the following areas: Vehicle Engineering, Mechanical and Electronic Engineering, Thermal Energy and Power Engineering, Mechanical Manufacturing and Automatization, Mechanical Design and Theory, and Industry Engineering.;
(b) conduct research that leads to quality publications in top-tier refereed journals and awards of research grants;
(c) supervise student research projects and theses; and perform any other duties as assigned by Dean.
Remuneration
Salary offered will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Applicants should state their current and expected salary in the application.
